NEW YORK (PIX11) Bed bugs are one pest people hope they never have to deal with.
Pest control leader Orkin has released their annual list of the most bed bug infested U.S. cities, and THREE New York cities made the list.
Chicago topped the list for the most infestations last year, while New York city came in at No. 17, Buffalo No. 38 and Albany/Schenectady/Troy at No. 43.
Whats even worse, Orkin says bed bug infestations increased 20% in 2013.
While studies show that bed bugs do not spread disease, the physical and mental health consequences are well documented and of serious public concern, an Orkin entomologist said.
